Superman Returns

Superman ReturnsI wanted to love this. And I still do. That’s why I’m planning on watching the film a few more times just to make sure that I wasn’t being overly critical the first time. I hope that I don’t have the same experience with it as I had with Batman Begins–a movie which I gave several chances, but only ended up disappointing me.

I’ve heard some people say that the reason why it disappointed them was because it dragged in some parts and there were too few action sequences.

If you ask me, it’s not that it was boring. I didn’t mind the exposition scenes much because I know the importance of giving the characters some breathing room. But the thing that bugged me was the absence of the fun factor in said scenes.

Special Report:Hurley is A Badass

With LOST being the biggest thing on TV right now, it’s only natural for some of the castmembers, most of whom were relatively unknowns, to get instant recognition right now. But some may be handling their newfound fame a bit differently than the others.

Take the case of Hurley Reyes for instance; a small town boy who grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. When he reached his teens, he ate his hometown state and moved to California with the intent to eat it too. Fortunately, the Governer put a stop to him, and convinced him to try acting instead.

He cut his teeth on small independent films like You’ve Got Meals!, and Burger Shop I, II, and III. But since joining the cast of LOST, Hurley was able to make the kind of movies he really wants.
