Serenity Wins The Hugo Award! Yay!

Serenity Wins The Hugo Award! Yay! (For some reason, the author of the video disabled embedding, so I’ll have to link to it instead. But that doesn’t negate the awesome.)

Snakes On A Plane!

Snakes on a PlaneI just came back from having my face rocked right off by the movie. I looked at the mirror and where was my face? Oh that’s right, that’s right: IT GOT ROCKED RIGHT THE FUCK OFF!

Seriously, aside from maybe Debbie Does Dallas, and Taboo Part 2, this is the greatest thing ever put to film. Ever.

I haven’t had this much fun at the movies since I don’t know how long.

I was afraid that my enjoyment of the movie would be colored by whatever the cool thing was as far as this movie was concerned. A year ago, the cool thing was like “Snakes On A Plane?! That’s so stupid it just might work! I can’t wait!”

Nowadays, the cool thing was all “Snakes On A Plane?! I’m sick of hearing about Snakes On A Plane! Get off from my lap!”

Thankfully cool had nothing to do with this movie. It transcends cool. This is way beyond cool’s reach. Cool was so embarrassed to be in the same room as this movie that it called in sick the day it opened. Cool is not fit to kiss this movie’s toes.

The movie was everything I hoped it would be and more. Everything was as retarded and cheesy as promised, and everything that needed to be in the movie was in the movie. I’m so glad the producers paid attention to the internet forums otherwise it probably wouldn’t have been as good.

I originally planned on writing a more astute and eloquent review, but then I realized that the movie is called Snakes On A Plane so I decided instead that this rambling, barely coherent essay would do a better job in doing the movie justice.

On a scale of 1 to awesome, I’d give this movie a rating of three thousand HELL YEAHS!

That is all.

The Internet Made EMO! OMG!

PWOT Article

So PWOT came up with another thought provoking article about how the recent advances in technology are indirectly responsible for the growing number of depressed people in the world.

I for one have always wondered about my parents’ love for visiting old friends regularly while I am happiest when I’m in front of the computer or watching DVDs alone. I’ve always thought that there was a correlation between the new forms of comunication available to us and how we usually prefer them to actual human contact.

So go read it.
