Once in a while, life throws you a curve ball that reminds you just how small you actually are in the grand scheme of things. If there’s anything the past weekend has taught me is that I’ll never be as great as I think I am. My delusions of grandeur actually mean nothing in real life situations.
I’ve gotten so used to grandstanding with my pseudo-intellectual ramblings about how everything else sucks except for me. I’ve lost sight of the fact that there’s a whole world out there filled with genuinely good people beyond my computer screen.
So to everyone (you know who you are) who are helping Rach and me through this very dark point in our lives, we are forever in debt to you. I only hope that someday we can prove to you that we deserve your friendship.
Thank you.
