So after almost a year of sitting on my butt and doing an exorbitant amount of getting fat, I finally decided to go back to boxing. I used to go regularly, but I had to stop just before the wedding because my days back then were filled with me avoiding doing wedding preparations.
I vowed then that right after the honeymoon, after we’ve figured out our daily routine, I’d go back to boxing. Unfortunately, just like my promise to stop my crimefighting activities, or to get started on my dancing career, this promise was made to sit on the shelf while a masked, flamenco-dancing vigilante roamed the streets ensuring a better tomorrow for all of us.
You’re welcome by the way.

This is where I prefer watching movies because it’s nearer my place:
But this is where we usually end up watching movies because it’s nearer my girlfriend’s house and office:

It’s been what, a year, and I’m still on Firefly withdrawal. So I finally decided to try out Joss Whedon’s previous work: Buffy and Angel. Apparently it’s the best time to get started because thanks to the magic of Youtube, the unaired Buffy Pilot is now available to the public despite Whedon’s apparent disdain for its existence.
It is moderately enjoyable sucked hairy balls, but I imagine I would probably enjoy the shit out of it all the more once I’ve caught up with the rest of the world in terms of the number of Buffy and Angel episodes watched. I just finished the first season of BtVS and am just hours away before I can start with the second season. And so far I’m having a blast.

Speaking of blood, I may be doing something right because my blood sugar has been reading normal lately. If I didn’t know better, I’d say that I am no longer diabetic. But we all know that’s not possible because once a diabetic, always a diabetic. Or is that not always the case?
While I’m not one to question good karma, I still can’t help but wonder what it is I’ve been doing that keeps my blood sugar within normal levels. I am actually eating more, stopped taking my medication, and have all but forgotten the strict dietary parameters laid out by my nutritionist. The only thing I can think of that’s different in my routine is boxing, which may be a bit of a reach since I am going once a week now as opposed before when I used to box three times a week.
Either way, the point is, I can now eat cake without fearing whether or not my foot will fall off.
