Apologies for the lack of updates lately. It’s just that my blog grinds to a halt whenever I find myself with a new toy. This time, said distraction would be a brand new Nintendo Wii that the wife and I decided to buy with our respective bonuses. Owning a game console again after almost a decade of abstinence from gaming triggered a gaming fury in me which finds me plastered in front of the TV whenever I have the time. But more on that later. For now I continue chronicling our time in Europe.
The fifth leg of our trip found us in Germany. Speaking of Germany, I will take this opportunity to talk about reusing underwear. You see, we were only allowed one 20 Kilogram suitcase and a couple of carry on bags for our trip. Considering that it was a 2 week trip, and our heavy winter clothes are to take up the bulk of our allotted space, we were forced to reuse all of our clothes.
Like I said before, we would only stay at a place for a night or two at a time, so washing our clothes really wasn’t possible. At the very least, we would wash our socks and underwear in the sink and hang them on the radiator to dry. Good thing it was winter and we sweat as much.
So, Germany.
We went to some Cuckoo Clock Factories in Titisee. Where we didn’t see much Titis. Then the next day, we went and visited the Cologne Gothic Cathedral. Where some of us once again refused to pay for the use of the bathrooms. Good times.
