AKA “My Buffy & Angel withdrawal.” I mentioned in my previous post that I’ve been devouring Buffy & Angel episodes for I don’t know how many weeks. Now, it’s not within this post’s jurisdiction, but it bears saying that both shows are just awesome in the “blow me away” variety.

Anyway, I’m halfway through Angel’s last season, and about as far along with Buffy’s next to the last season; and already I’m experiencing some withdrawal symptoms. Because Wesley has become one of my two favorite characters in the whole Buffyverse, (Cordelia Chase being the other one, but she has yet to have a connection with the topic of this post) I took a gander at Alexis Denisof’s filmography to see if he also worked on other interesting projects after Buffy.

And that’s how I found out about How I Met Your Mother. Like AG said, it’s not a breakthrough comedy, nor is it especially memorable, but it’s jolly good fun. Plus, it stars Alyson Hannigan and Neil Patrick Harris — two actors I don’t mind seeing again and again because they never fail to remind me good stuff about the 80’s. And let’s not forget the reason(s) why this show came up on my radar in the first place; Mr. Hannigan Alexis Denisof as well as Amy Acker guest star in the show at one point or another and that’s always a good thing.

So, in line with my disdain for stating a show’s premise as outlined in this post, I shall now proceed to tell you what the show is all about:
