I just saw the SUMAJIN Smartwraps Earphone Cord Manager while killing time in the mall the other day.

Apparently it keeps your iPod earphone cord from getting all tangled up while in storage. And for this feature, you need only to pay $12.

Which is you know….gay.

So how can you get such a product without having to pay an insane amount of money? Well that’s what we’re here for. All you need is a standard issue credit card and a pair of scissors:

Now the first step is to cut the card like so:

The next step is to keep on cutting until it resembles something that can safely store your cords. Any shape will do. Since you’re the one doing the cutting, it’s all up to you.

The last and final step is to stop before you run out of card:
