New Host, New Features

This post marks my transfer to my new host Page.ph. I’ve been with my old host, YDS Web Solution for three to four years. And while they’ve moved the focus of their business away from catering to individual bloggers like me and are currently focusing on providing enterprise solutions to big businesses, they let me stay in their servers for as long as I felt comfortable.

A couple of weeks go, I finally took the hint and bid them goodbye so I can bug the people at Page.Ph for a change.

Now on to the good stuff. Some of the more observant readers out there might notice the new toolbar at the bottom of this page:

Wibiya Toolbar (click to enlarge)

It’s called the Wibiya Toolbar. You can get your own here if you want to have it in your blog.

I’d like to call attention to a couple of its features:

You can access this by clicking on this icon near the leftmost part of the toolbar:

Cooliris Gallery

Cooliris Gallery

It’s a pretty cool app that shows a 3D gallery of my most recent flickr photos. Play around with it to see why it’s my favorite toy yet.

  • Facebook Community

Facebook Community

If you’re on Facebook (and if you’re not, then you don’t exist), please click on the “Connect” button. What it does is you get logged in using your Facebook account and you get automatically added to my blog’s community. What it means is, I get notified which of my Facebook friends have visited my blog recently.I implore you to do this otherwise, I’ll assume that nobody reads this blog, and I’ll go back to posting pictures of me teabagging my teddy bear. And trust me, when that happens, nobody wins. NOBODY.

  • My Twitter Dashboard

Clicking on this app will show you my most recent tweets as well as tweets that mention me or this blog. In case you don’t know what Twitter is, I point you to read what Baddie wrote on it.

I’m really geeking out over this Wibiya toolbar. Not only does it offer all these cool apps, but it allows me to rid my sidebar of some widgets that are cluttering the layout.

So that’s it for now. Take a look around, play around with the toys I installed for you. Now don’t you kids get any funny ideas like regular updates ok?
