For a minute there, I was afraid that this episode will once again suck. Thankfully, things start get a little interesting about halfway through. While this will never be included in anybody’s “Top Prison Break Episodes” it does hold the distinction of having one of the lamest death sequences for one of TV’s best love villains ever.
Yeah. Somebody dies, but I’m not saying who.
I guess the title of the episode was kind of spoilery in itself and you have to be an idiot (or simply just not paying attention) not to know that one of the escapees will kick it. On one hand, I’m glad the writers are culling the herd a little bit. It means that they’re more interested in telling a relatively concise story than unnecessarily prolonging the series. On the other hand, I’m going to miss one of my favorite characters in the show.
But I guess it’s all for the best. In the first season, we have to keep track of two or three subplots at the same time. And now in this season, with most of the major characters splintering off in their own little groups, the writers would be asking too much if they expect us to be interested with everything that’s going on. I expect more killings in future episodes.
Again, I’m not saying who, but I will show you my favorite scene in the series so far:

And who the hell is Oscar Shales?:

My sister — who is apparently a bigger Prison Break geek than I am — tells me that it was established in a previous episode that Oscar Shales was an escaped convict in Mahoney’s past that has not been recaptured.
Sounds about right, but I’d like to think that there’s more of a connection between Oscar Shales and Michael Scofield because that’s way cooler.

And am I the only one who thinks that Robert Knepper is the best actor in the show?
Haywire makes an appearance in the next episode by the way.
