Food Wars

Since the last time I touched upon the topic of microblogging, I have completely made the switch from Twitter to Plurk. This is mostly due to the fact that practically all my friends have pretty much abandoned the former for the latter.

But then again, what passes for friends in the interwebs can be placed under two categories: those who would gladly punch you in the face whether you want them to or not (and usually with greater enthusiasm than what is required by the situation),  and those who would gladly watch.

And while we hurled threats of bodily harm and sexual torture of varying form, shape, and day of the week at each other before, it has never reached the level of venom it had since we started plurking.

Take for example how we debate about food, it usually starts and ends the same way: somebody professes their undying love or hatred for a given entree, then his so-called friends start posting their opinions as to the validity or lack thereof of said statement.
