Anyway, If you’re going to buy a 5×5x5 cube, don’t buy the Rubik’s brand. Not only is it more expensive, but it’s also heavier, cumbersome, and prone to damage as can be seen from the pictures below.
Go with the Asian made Eastsheen brand that’s available in most National Bookstore branches.
There’s really no point in my showing off this video other than to prove that I’m not dumb. So to my music teacher in Grade 5, Mr. Areza as well as all my classmates who made fun of me: “Suck it bitch!”
And that voice you’ll hear in the background at around 3/4s of the way through the video? That’s my wife talking to me about work stuff.
Anyway:
Also, check out some other stuff which proves I’m not dumb:
But don’t expect to see a video of me solving it anytime soon because I don’t think I can do it again. I kinda relied heavily on pure dumb luck in the home stretch.
And about the time? Gee I don’t know. Let’s see, I started solving it around 11:30PM last night. Then I hit a wall around 1:00AM so I decided to go to sleep. I woke up around 6:30AM, dicked around with the cube for about half an hour, then I was like HOLY CRAP HOW DID I DID THAT?!
In many ways, solving the 5×5 cube is a lot easier than solving the 3×3. It’s a lot more intuitive, and since you have more room, you can experiment more with your moves. The final stages however, require that you know how to solve a 3X3.
The best part of this whole experience was that I didn’t use any internet tutorials to solve it. (Actually, I searched and searched for a tutorial on how to solve it, but I couldn’t understand any of them. Because I can’t read.)
So allow me to brag a little. Because I’m insecure like that and I need affirmation:
