My first 5×5x5 cube has finally twisted its last twist. Good thing I have a spare which is of better quality.
Anyway, If you’re going to buy a 5×5x5 cube, don’t buy the Rubik’s brand. Not only is it more expensive, but it’s also heavier, cumbersome, and prone to damage as can be seen from the pictures below.
Go with the Asian made Eastsheen brand that’s available in most National Bookstore branches.
It took forever but I finally taught myself how to solve a 2×2x2 cube. Yeah it’s crazy that it would be the last cube I learn after the 3×3x3 and the 5×5x5. But to me, because of its size, it was the hardest to visualize the solution to so it took me the longest to solve.
But now it’s solved and I just wanted to document it. And I’m not showing off my speed cubing skills. Because those geeks at the Pinoy Speed Cubers forum can do it in 1/3 the time I could.
And I probably won’t be attempting to solve the 4×4x4 cube anytime in the next never. Why? Well because I’m scared of it. You see even numbered cubes are generally harder to solve than odd numbered cubes. Which is why it took me much longer to solve 2×2x2 than the 3×3x3 and the 5×5x5.
Oh yeah. I decided to solve the 3×3x3 and the 2×2x2 together in this video because hard as it was to solve the Pocket Cube (2×2x2), watching it being solved really is quite boring. So I decided to redeem my 3×3x3 solving skills after that embarrassing first video I posted.
Also, it has come to my attention that some of you don’t believe that it’s me in the cubing videos so I left a little something at the end in the hopes of assuring you that it is indeed me. Hear that Baddie?
There’s really no point in my showing off this video other than to prove that I’m not dumb. So to my music teacher in Grade 5, Mr. Areza as well as all my classmates who made fun of me: “Suck it bitch!”
And that voice you’ll hear in the background at around 3/4s of the way through the video? That’s my wife talking to me about work stuff.
